the most recent gifting opportunity i've been happy to participate in is to the lovely Renee Zellweger.  having loved her in Jerry Maguire, Shark Tale and of course, every 'average' girl's favorite movie, Bridget Jones' Diary, it is totally an honor to send her the necklace and earring set as pictured above in conjunction with The Artisans Group.  handmade in sterling silver, i am hoping the clean lines of this rustic design will catch her eye.  and please God, let her ears be pierced so that she can wear the matching earrings!!!!  watch for this set in my shop soon!

oh camilla!

so not only is my etsy BFF Julie fantastically talented, now the world of Grey's Anatomy knows it too!  Julie was part of the GBK Oscars Gift Lounge, and the lovely Camilla Luddington was all over this gemstone cuff!  we all know how fabulous Julie's cuffs are, having already been showcased on The Vampire Diaries! 

Camilla has to be my favorite new character on Grey's, and the cuff she posed with at the Gift Lounge totally suits both her style and intern Jo's.  you can check out the rest of Julie's celebrity stylings HERE - and yay for celebrity trendspotting!  maybe one day Julie's designs will show up in the hallways of Seattle Grace Mercy West...

drew's rings.

so i've been swamped by work at the office - seriously, what is the point of going on vacation when you just get stressed out again from all the work that piled up while you were gone?  sigh. 

however, it doesn't mean that i haven't been busy - i have completed the rings that will be heading off to LA later on this week to drew barrymore!  and i hope that she loves them - one floral band, one half round, one twisted and one scalloped, and all in sterling silver.  i am so in love with them - they are a lovely, organic combination and i am really hoping that they find a place in her jewelry box!

drew & the artisan group.

in the hopes of raising my public profile, i followed julie's suggestion (it seems like all my business decisions are made by her lately, LOL) and threw my application in the ring to join the exclusive "artisans' group", an exclusive collection of handmade artists.  what the artisan group does is provide handmade artists the opportunity to have their items shown off at high end, celebrity events (yes, like the oscars, and the emmys, and... well, you get the drift!)  they also send gift bags to celebrities, showcasing the best of handmade.  how could i not?

beyond my wildest hopes, i was almost immediately accepted and, surpassing those wildest hopes, i now find myself brainstorming something to make for drew.  drew barrymore.  THE drew barrymore. star of some of my favorite movies (wedding singer! charlie's angels! never been kissed!)  and while i am realistic and know that there is not a huge chance (well, probably not a snowball's chance in the hot LA sun, honestly) that she will wear my designs and end up on the pages of instyle magazine (yet another dream!) this might get me just a little bit closer to where i want to be! 

(now, what to make.... a stack of rings? earrings? hmmm, i wonder if i should send her a tattoo...)
